Before using disposable sterile medical supplies, clinical medical personnel should pay attention to their expiration date, whether the packaging is damaged, whether the products are clean, moldy, and whether the labeling is clear. If suspicious products are found, immediately stop using them and promptly report to the hospital’s infection management department and procurement department.

When using disposable sterile medical supplies, strictly follow the sterile operating procedures, temporarily open and use immediately to avoid prolonged storage time; To avoid contamination, if disposable items are suspected to be contaminated or have already been contaminated during operation, they should be replaced immediately.

Disposable sterile equipment includes infusion (blood) devices, syringes, disinfectant swabs, etc. After use, they are treated as medical waste and immediately placed in yellow garbage bags. Needles and other sharp tools are directly placed in sharp tool boxes.
